As most classical musicians can tell you, London lacks a truly great concert hall befitting of this exceptional  musical capital. Despite this need being universally accepted by the UK Arts Council, Sir Simon Rattle was deeply disappointed after he spearheaded efforts to build the proposed Centre for Music in London’s Cultural Mile for the London Symphony Orchestra, a proposal ultimately rejected. In the wake of this defeat, we hosted an event in London in 2022, bringing together Britain’s brightest architectural minds to make some inspiring new proposals.  FFCM hopes to bring together many more people from the British musical community in 2025 to envision the right project, in the right place, with a path to completion.

Please enjoy these remarkable presentations by these accomplished architects and urban planners.
